The pace of this year’s legislative session in Minnesota was lightning quick and there are many legislative changes about to take effect that will have an impact on the nonprofit workforce. Join experts from Minnesota's Department of Employment and Economic Development and the state's Department of Labor and Industry for a 90-minute introduction to three areas of significant change: Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), Women’s Economic Security Act (WESA), and Paid Family and Medical Leave (PMFL). The goal of this training is to build the base knowledge of the key implementers of these changes within nonprofit employers – the people who hold human resource and governance roles. An emphasis will be placed on the employer’s duty to inform their employees about the new laws while providing them with tools to do so.
