MCN Advertising Policies
At MCN, we make every effort to provide our members with valuable and thorough information based on the best nonprofit practices. In order to be able to provide you with continually updated, high-quality information regularly at little or no cost to you, we seek funding through a wide array of sources. This includes advertisements and sponsorships in many of our communications vehicles.
As vital resources to Minnesota nonprofits, and the communities they serve, we see sponsors and advertisers as valuable contributors to MCN’s mission to help inform, promote, connect, and strengthen nonprofits.
The following rules guide our advertising policy:
MCN has the sole discretion for determining the types of advertising that will be accepted and displayed on our website and in our newsletters and conference materials. We retain the right to reject advertising that is contrary to our mission.
In addition, MCN explicitly refuses any advertising based on the following guidelines:
- No hate speech
- No libel/slander
- No promotion of illegal activity
- No promotion of gambling
The appearance of any advertising in any MCN print or digital property is neither an endorsement of nor a guarantee for the product, service, or company (or the claims made in such advertising) by MCN. Ads are placed at the sole discretion of the organization.
