Salary: $50,000 to $62,000 per year, plus benefits

MCN Employee Benefits

Paid Time Off (PTO)
MCN offers a generous time-off package that encourages staff to take time for self-care,  spend time with family and loved ones, and achieve a healthy work-life balance.

All new employees begin accruing an annual total of 15 days of paid time-off (PTO) from their first pay period, with the potential to earn up to 22 days beginning in their tenth year with the organization.
Personal Days

Each regular and long-term temporary employee of MCN also receives two personal days to be used in each calendar year (pro-rated for part-time employees). These days are granted automatically upon hire or anniversary of hire or benefit eligibility, and are not eligible for carryover from one year to the next.

Summer Hours

MCN will grant all regular and long-term temporary employees up to an additional eight hours paid time off per month in May, June, July, and August (pro-rated for part-time employees), intended to be used the last Friday of the month.

MCN will be closed to regular business on all MCN observed holidays. Holiday pay will be paid, based on base pay for an eight (8) hour day, to all regular and long-term temporary employees (pro-rated for part-time employees).

All active MCN employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for medical plan benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.

MCN contributes 90 percent for employee premium and 70 percent of dependents of any plan choice for employees working full time 40 hours per week. For employees working 20-39 hours per week, MCN’s contribution is prorated based on hours worked per week, but is at least 50 percent of the employee’s premium based on the state requirement.

MCN contributes 50 percent of the deductible, up to $1,000 for single and $2,000 for family plans. 

All active employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for dental plan benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.

MCN contributes up to 75 percent for employee premium and 50 percent of dependent premium on a pro-rated basis depending on hours worked per week.

All active employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for Long-term Disability Insurance and Group Life and AD&D Insurance benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment. Dependents are not eligible to participate in this coverage.

MCN pays 100 percent of the premium.

MCN offers a 403(b) retirement plan, which enables eligible employees to elect to make contributions through a payroll deduction of a portion of their compensation, up to the federally allowed yearly maximum, subject to application and acceptance after a qualifying period.

MCN also contributes three percent of the employee’s income to the 403(b), and will match an additional two percent dollar-for-dollar, for a total potential employer contribution of five percent. New employees are eligible for the employer contribution and match the first of the month following six months’ employment.

MCN makes a section 125 plan available to staff, which allows for pre-tax payroll deductions for certain medical and dependent care expenses.

MCN employees can be reimbursed up to $200 per employee per calendar year for activities related to personal growth and development. Personal development fund reimbursements are taxable and paid through MCN’s payroll system.

MCN currently offers a suite of voluntary benefits through Avesis and Colonial Life including vision, short-term disability, cancer coverage, accident coverage, critical illness coverage, and life insurance. Premiums are paid by the employee via payroll deduction, but employees are able to access more affordable group rates through MCN’s plan.
