Research shows that 60% of people volunteer because someone personally asked them to. But we know that recruiting volunteers is not easy, especially when we look at steadily declining rates of volunteerism, even before the pandemic. In this session we will consider emerging trends in effective volunteer recruitment. We'll explore ideas for leveraging partnerships in our community with clubs, schools, universities, the media, and fellow nonprofits. And we'll highlight potential new avenues to increase the visibility of your organization and raise the profile of volunteering in your community.
We'll hear innovative stories of people who lead volunteers across Minnesota. Come with your questions and experiences so we can learn from each other!

Facilitator Information
Holly Daniels is a trainer, writer, and connector at MAVA (Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement), where she is the Greater Minnesota Program Manager. She's from Warren, MN, and loves learning from volunteer engagement leaders across the state (especially from small towns) and sharing their stories and great ideas. Holly is also training to be an executive coach; she encourages people to find action steps toward the direction they want to go.
