During the 2021 Legislative Session, the Legislature passed a biennial budget that provided increased funding and new programs at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). This included more than $70 million in direct appropriations and competitive programs for workforce development as well as $285 million in economic development resources.
