Many grantseekers know an evaluation can be a powerful tool, both for creating compelling grant proposals and providing sound reporting.
This fun and interactive session will provide participants with a framework for thinking about and including evaluation “at the front end” of the proposal process and using it for reporting at the end of the grant period. We will explore interpreting funder requirements, touch on the components of an evaluation plan, and discover the needs of the various stakeholders once you are implementing your grant.

Pre-work for this session: Please bring a grant proposal you are working on or have submitted. Participants will dig into these real-life examples throughout the session. Please note we will be using the Minnesota Common Grant format for this exercise.

This session will be led by The Improve Group’s experts in evaluation capacity building. The Improve Group is a St. Paul-based, international consulting firm focused on research, evaluation, and strategic planning. For nearly 20 years The Improve Group’s consultants have been helping nonprofits measure and demonstrate impact, which in turn leads to improved services, innovation, and increased support.
