Join the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits for this special exploration of the impacts of COVID-19 on grantseeking and grants management. You’ll learn frank, current information about significant changes taking place in Minnesota's foundation community and state departments. This 90-minute event will offer two components:

Part 1: A panel sharing in-depth reporting and offering “beyond-the-website" insights into unfolding changes among dozens of the most important Minnesota foundations and grantmaking state departments.

Part 2: A presentation exploring grant writing and grants management in disruption, with insights on how to make your case for funding in light of COVID-19; finding courage to ask for what you need; and mapping out the risks and opportunities in your current grant portfolio.

Whether you’re an executive director, a board member involved in fundraising, or a fund development staff person, this workshop is a great way to get 40 hours of research and insight in 90 minutes.

By attending this event, you'll be able to:

  • Build your list of foundation prospects that fit your organization's goals and make the best use of your time and resources in light of quickly changing funding priorities;
  • Better understand the augmentations to grant program and funding opportunities through Minnesota’s state grantmaking departments;
  • Connect to burgeoning trends in the nonprofit sector; and
  • Uncover insider tips about what it’s like to work with various foundations.
This workshop will be inclusive of the realities of Greater Minnesota members and nonprofits and smaller nonprofits who maybe were left out of the first rounds of disaster-relief funding because of barriers to access.
