2019 Nonprofit Communications & Technology Conference

nonprofit Communications & Technology Conference

Nonprofits have innovation in our DNA. We’re always looking for a creative way to communicate an idea, to launch a new product, to reach a new audience, or to boost productivity and efficiency. Our communications and technology systems need to be agile, cutting-edge, and innovative – while at the same time being smart with our resources. Nonprofits are always finding new ways to balance the legacy of our communities with the vision of tomorrow’s technologies.

The 2019 Nonprofit Communications & Technology Conference is the place to focus your lasers on the latest and greatest in all things nonprofit communications and tech. Join the conference to engage in conversations about digital design, cybersecurity, content strategy, social media, online fundraising, and so much more! Get ready to propel your nonprofit further and faster in 2019.

Tech Industry Ideas Can Lead to Better Nonprofit Services

Providing services that people find valuable and that can sustain themselves is hard. Add to this an ambition to have a positive social impact and things get harder still. Yet, with demands on services and digital expectations always changing it's critical that every nonprofit embed the practices that will help them continually test and learn the best way to deliver user, social and financial value.

With limited resources for delivery let alone 'innovation' it can be difficult to find the time or know where to start. Sharing his work at CAST (the Centre for the Acceleration of Social Technology) in the UK, Suraj will explore the mindset, examples, tools and tactics from digital service design that nonprofits of all sizes can use to solve the real world problems their service users and organisation face.

By the end of the talk you will have reflected on the relevance of digital and the digital behaviours necessary for your role. Explored examples from other nonprofits, as well as practical tools and a framework for developing digital services.

2019 Dot.Org Awards

After enjoying a buffet lunch, attendees will have a chance to hear about this year's Dot.Org Award winners. Presented by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, the Dot.Org Awards recognize nonprofits who are using technology and communications in inspiring, effective and creative ways.

The winners of the Dot.Org Awards will display their innovations and will be available for questions during the Exhibit Hall. This year's awards are sponsored by our friends at Brave North Technology.
