Shannon McCarville is the program manager of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, and has been at MCN since 2009. Shannon works with the program team to manage the logistics and execution of the organization’s educational and training programs, which include over 100 small and large workshops, 100 networking events, and eight conferences per year. Most recently Shannon was the events and volunteer coordinator at The Loft Literary Center and prior to that held several positions at a touring educational theater. Their previous nonprofit experience also includes working at a homeless newspaper, a youth center, and several arts organizations.
Shannon is the chair of the board of She Rock She Rock, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and women through music, and a member of the International Girls Rock Camp Alliance. They are on the advisory committee of 20% Theatre Company Twin Cities, and volunteer with Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter. Shannon is also a working artist in theater and music in the Twin Cities. They have a B.A. from Antioch College.
