Sarah Crumrine is the communications coordinator at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, where she coordinates and executes a broad range of communications projects, including working on print and electronic communications, working in media relations and strategic communication implementation, and working to make sure all of MCN’s members know about the products and services that are offered. Sarah also teaches MCN workshops throughout the state on social media and how to start a successful nonprofit.
Sarah’s previous nonprofit experience includes working in events, communications, and community relations for organizations working with housing. Sarah has a B.A. in journalism with a minor in social justice from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. For four years, she served on the board of directors of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of the Twin Cities in various roles, including Communications Chair, Vice Chair, and most recently, Board Chair.
Outside of work, Sarah currently serves as Fundraising Chair on the young professionals board of Gilda's Club Twin Cities, volunteers with Make-A-Wish Minnesota as a Wish Granter, does freelance writing for Pollen Midwest, and does social media for FINNEGANS, a brewery that gives 100% of its profits to hunger-relief organizations.
