Kelly LaCore is the Northeast Minnesota regional coordinator based in Duluth. Through this position, Kelly provides local activities, initiatives and connections to the resources MCN provides in the Northeast region of Minnesota.
Kelly’s background is in higher education community engagement, helping develop and maintain campus-community partnerships and leading efforts in engaging students in the community. She has also helped implement and coordinate five different AmeriCorps programs in two different states. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Montana State University-Bozeman, an M.A. in Adult ESL from Hamline, and a certificate in Nonprofit Administration from UW-Superior. She has volunteered in many English language learning classrooms, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and trainer, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Chester Bowl Improvement Club in Duluth. She is happy to continue work in a field that is not only exciting, but impactful.
