Kelly LaCore represents the northern Minnesota office for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, supporting more than 200 nonprofits of all sizes and services across the northern strip of the state. In this regional role, she provides resources, information, connections and training to help organizations better meet their missions.
Kelly is passionate about nonprofits and the community-building role they play everywhere. Her background is in higher education community engagement, helping develop campus-community partnerships and getting students off campus and out into the community. She has also managed hundreds of AmeriCorps members in her career. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Montana State University-Bozeman, an M.A. in Adult ESL from Hamline, and a certificate in Nonprofit Administration from UW-Superior. She has volunteered in many English language learning classrooms, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and trainer, and serves on the boards of two Duluth nonprofits: the Chester Bowl Improvement Club and the Lake Superior Youth Chorus.
