Kat McCaffery is MCN's VISTA Leader. As the cohort’s VISTA leader, Kat supports the professional and personal growth of VISTA members by creating and leading professional development days for the cohort and dedicating time to one-on-one meetings throughout the year with each individual VISTA.
Kat grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Simpson College with a B.A. in English and a minor in Sociology. Her first term in AmeriCorps was with La Puente in Alamosa, CO as a summer volunteer coordinator. Most recently, she served a year as a VISTA development specialist with the American Indian Family Center in East St. Paul, where she was inspired to serve another term with MCN. She is passionate about serving others and creating equitable, sustainable solutions. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and being outdoors as well as binging Netflix.
