MCN's mission supports the needs of nonprofits throughout Minnesota. Although our main office is in St. Paul, MCN relies on staff and advisory committee members from six Greater Minnesota regions to inform our work across the state. These regional advisory committees help us pinpoint region-specific needs and identify ways to strengthen the sector using the experience of committee members.
Who knows community needs more than passionate nonprofit staff? That's why we need your voice and experience!
Joining a MCN Greater Minnesota regional advisory committee is a great opportunity to inform the sector about improvements needed in your community and influence MCN priorities in Greater Minnesota.
While the commitment to serve as a committee member is minimal, your impact is big.
Members meet quarterly for one hour to discuss current nonprofit trends and hear MCN sector updates.
These committees also help connect you with other nonprofit leaders and peers in your region, as well as build deeper relationships with MCN staff. Representatives from MCN's program, advancement, public policy, and administrative teams like to drop into committee meetings to meet members and hear about work of Greater MN folks.
Regional advisors are champions in their communities and help MCN better support Greater Minnesota organizations – statewide regional involvement is vital to MCN’s success.
