The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) will be submitting public comments on Strengthening the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. This is the first opportunity that people working in public service – including 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits – have been able to provide feedback on the program.
PSFL is a program created in 2007 and allows borrowers who work full time for nonprofits and government agencies to have their outstanding debt forgiven tax-free on Federal Direct Loans, after making 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan.
