Minnesota Council on Foundations Names Susie Brown as New President

Susie BrownThe Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF) has hired Susie Brown as its new president, beginning April 22.

With decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Brown currently serves as the chief operations officer for the recently merged Minnesota State Bar, Hennepin County Bar and Ramsey County Bar Associations and Foundations. She also previously worked as the public policy director for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.

“The Minnesota Council on Foundations is highly regarded locally and nationally,” Brown said in a statement. “I am excited about the possibility of working to grow the organization’s connection with its members and to enhance the high-quality services it provides. My plan is to get off to a quick start — I look forward to learning from staff, members, board, and community stakeholders in this process.”

Aside from her work in the nonprofit sector, Brown is active in her community, serving on the Community Advisory Council of the Greater Twin Cities United Way and as an adjunct faculty member at Hamline University, where she teaches nonprofit management and governance.
