Join Africa Reconciliation Development Organization (ARDO) and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) as we host the Kenyan ambassador to the United States, Robinson Njeru Githae.

Mr. Githae will share his thoughts as they relate to a variety of issues impacting businesses and nongovernmental organizations working in Kenya. He will also discuss the themes relevant to nonprofits and other organizations working with Kenyan Americans and East African refugees in the Twin Cities.

This discussion will touch on Mr. Githae’s areas of expertise including themes of infrastructure development, finance, economic development and African investments. Additionally, we will engage in conversation about current developments in Kenya, including Somali relations, refugee resettlement, antiterrorism, human rights, democratic expression/voting, and education of the next generation of leaders.

This event is free but pre-registration is requested to reserve your space. Register here.

Robinson Njeru Githae was appointed to be ambassador to the United States by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 14, 2014, and Githae presented his credentials to U.S. President Barack Obama on November 18, 2014. It’s the first diplomatic posting for Githae. Learn more.
