MCN's 2013 Public Policy Agenda
On November 20, 2012, the Minnesota Council of Nonprofit's board of directors approved its 2013 public policy agenda.
As in recent years, a substantial focus is placed on budget issues, including raising sufficient revenues through progressive taxation to support a strong economy and vibrant communities in Minnesota, which have been hard hit by nearly a decade of budget cuts.
Additionally, MCN will focus on reducing barriers to Minnesota’s election system, expanding access to affordable health care in Minnesota through smart implementation of the Affordable Care Act, and keeping Minnesota a strong and supportive place for nonprofit organizations to carry out their work in communities.
