MCN Launches Central Minnesota Chapter

St. Paul, Minn., January 11, 2011 - MCN has expanded its ability to provide local trainings, workshops and networking opportunities to nonprofits in Central Minnesota. This month, MCN opened its Central Minnesota Chapter with an office in Willmar.

The newest chapter serves the following Minnesota counties: Benton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Pine, Renville, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright.Christa Otteson

Christa Otteson is the Regional Coordinator for the Central Minnesota Chapter and is the main point of contact for nonprofits in the region. Her role will be to deepen MCN's presence in Greater Minnesota by expanding membership and increasing the level of support to nonprofits in Central Minnesota. She has experience with a number of education and human service organizations in Minnesota and Washington. Most recently, Christa was a Research Associate with Wilder Research, in St. Paul.


The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) is the statewide association of 2,000 nonprofit organizations. Through its website, resource publications, workshops and events, cost-saving programs and advocacy, MCN continually works to inform, promote, connect and strengthen individual nonprofits and the nonprofit sector.
