Excellence Awards

The Excellence Awards are based upon MCN's Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence. Two Nonprofit Excellence Awards are presented each year, one to a small organization with under $1.5 million annual operating budget, and one to a large organization with over $1.5 million annual operating budget.

Applications for Excellence Awards must be self-submitted by the organization and require advance planning and board involvement.

Excellence Award Selection Criteria

Applicants must be a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) organization, at least five years old and have a local governance and management structure in place. Applying organizations should be familiar with MCN's Principles and Practices for Nonprofits Excellence.

To apply, download and complete the Nonprofit Excellence Award Application. To see the questions on the application prior to filling it out, click here.

Nominations are closed for 2017
