Primary Duties:

The Evaluation Associate is responsible for providing in-depth analytical support in evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation’s program/grant-making activities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinates the collection of information from Foundation grantees and uses the data to determine if the program funded achieved its intended outcome. • Develop data collection processes and systems for NWAF scorecard and evaluation. • Works closely with the Program Operations and Evaluation Director to ensure the evaluation system supports and informs the grantmaking program. • Assist with the development of lessons learned reports and other publications. • Prepares reports of evaluation results for Program staff. • Perform independent research, design and implement research projects. • Assists with the coordination of special projects as assigned, including grantee surveys as directed by the Program Operations and Evaluation Director. • Researches effective grantmaking approaches and strategies.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Minimum of three years of experience collecting, analyzing and using data to answer questions about grantee programs. • Masters’ degree in evaluation studies, public policy or related program or equivalent experience required. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills • Skilled in data collection, data entry, and survey monkey. • Experience with qualitative and quantitative methodologies or experience using participatory approaches required. • Experience in using SPSS, NVIVO, or similar data analysis software. • Experience developing electronic data collection systems. • Experience working with diverse cultural groups. • Excellent communication (speaking and writing), interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills (including proficiency in Microsoft Office).
