Cycles for Change (C4C) is a nonprofit bike shop located in St. Paul. The Community Partners Bike Library program partners with community organizations to make bikes and bike education accessible in under-served communities.

Mechanic volunteers with the Bike Library support the Bike Library Lead Mechanic and core volunteers with rehabbing, accessorizing, double-checking and transporting Bike Library bikes.
Volunteers can also support the Lead Mechanic with clerical work and organization in the Bike Library warehouse space.
Rehabbing, accessorizing and double-checking take place on all the bikes in our fleet during the winter and early spring. Bikes are loaned out to program participants beginning in April.
Previous mechanic experience (personal or professional).
Previous experience in bike mechanics preferred.
Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
Prospective volunteers interested in improving their mechanical knowledge and expertise may want to take free classes at Cycles for Change (see our website for more info or to sign up for a class).
Ability to commit to regular shifts a plus.
Volunteer work with the Bike Library Lead Mechanic would take place in our warehouse located in Minneapolis near the Greenway and the West River Road.
Mechanic volunteers are advised to wear grubby clothes and dress warmly for work on bikes in the warehouse.
