Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute is a creative writing and tutoring center in disguise that works to empower K-12 Twin Cities students through five free programs, both in and out of school.

Hours: 6-10 hours per week 

Primary Duties:

The Development Intern Works closely with the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee to work on all aspects of fundraising and organization development.

Primary Responsibilities include:

-Assist with design, copywriting, and production of donor materials

-Research donor prospects and analyze solicitation methods

-Attend and assist with fundraising events

-Research potential funders and write grant applications


Qualifications include:

- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- The ability to work independently

- Excellent computer skills

- Someone who is flexible, detail-oriented and self-motivated

Preferred: experience or desire to work in development or fundraising

Plus: multilingual
