Communications Intern

ICA Food Shelf

Organization Summary:

ICA Food Shelf supports neighbors in need through food distribution, financial assistance and employment assistance. Our clients are your neighbors who find they are struggling to make ends meet.  Most of our clients work, but do not make enough money to cover the basic needs of their families.

ICA, Intercongregation Communities Association, has been in existence for 40 years. The establishment of ICA came after a workshop session at the Hopkins House in the fall of 1970. Seed money was garnered from each of the member congregations when each agreed to donate a portion of their budget, and a special grant was given from Faith Presbyterian. Today ICA is also supported by over 100 business partners and is also supported by civic organizations, schools and fraternal organizations, and we have 36 partner congregations.
