Primary Duties:

Summary of Position: The Part-Time Administrative Support Staff provides administrative and program support to the Missioners, faith communities and elected bodies of ECMN. They provide centralized coordination for the assigned team. These individuals also provide reception, hospitality and general administrative support. S/he must be a team player who is able to develop a ministry of hospitality and service that includes communicating and interacting with a broad range of individuals and constituencies. This position requires specific skills and knowledge of Episcopal faith and practices.

Essential Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintain paper files and digital files on a Google site
  • Provide registration and administrative support to the School for Formation
  • Create church bulletins
  • Understand and help coordinate administrative details for worship services
  • Help coordinate logistics for programs designed for children, youth, and camp
  • Assist with event hosting occasionally
  • Team Coordination and Administrative Support
  • Responsible for coordinating team meetings, group calendars, agenda, and meeting minutes
  • Administers program specific event planning and registration • Administers communications, including web content, newsletters and other marketing materials
  • Administers information distribution (mailings; email correspondence; other forms of oral, written and electronic communication) for assigned program
  • Hospitality and General Administration
  • Greets visitors and offers hospitality
  • Directs callers and visitors to the appropriate team member
  • Ensures ECMN offices are well maintained, open, and efficiently organized
  • Provides general office and administrative support, including filing, ordering supplies, and records maintenance
  • May provide work direction to volunteers


Qualifications Specific Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, or willingness to gain, an in depth understanding of the Episcopal Church
  • Strong understanding of Episcopal worship practices
  • Strong record keeping skills
  • Knowledge of Moodle platform a plus

General Experience, Education and Skills:

  • High School degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong organization, time management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage, organize, and handle details accurately
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other data management programs
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Episcopal Church structure and language
  • Ability to multi-task and be responsible for several projects simultaneously
