Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly is a volunteer driven nonprofit committed to relieving isolation and loneliness in the elder community. This fastest growing segment of the population is a precious community resource worthy of respect and caring attention. To this end, LBFE provides companionship services to elders with a particular focus on services provided by Visiting Volunteer Advocates, Phone Companions, and In-Person Check-In Volunteers, as well as other social programs. Together our services result in greater elder independence and well-being as we strive to provide the social connections necessary to safe, happy, fulfilled aging. Volunteers are the key to our success.

Hours: Weekdays between 9:00am and 5:00pm. 

Primary Duties:

The Operations Intern plays a key role in managing the day to day operations of the LBFE's office in South Minneapolis including, managing data for our donors, clients and volunteers, managing digital forms and surveys, accounts payable, data entry, vendor relations and tech and database special projects.  


The ideal candidate will be smart, savvy, enthusiastic and willing and able to take initiative. He or she will have excellent computer skills including Excel and Word, and be detailed oriented with talent for organization and office management.
