The leaders of small nonprofits have to wear many hats – performing tasks that may be handled in larger organizations by staff members with formal training in those areas. In the Hatrack workshop series, experts will cover these areas, identifying and streamlining the highest priority tasks. This session features:

Information Technology: Technology wizard John S. Thomas (aka Mr. JST) will provide tips on the most pressing IT issues, including websites, emails, accounting/finance, and social media.

Legal and Ethical Essentials: Jacqueline A. Dorsey, a partner with Hvistendahl, Moersch, Dorsey & Hahn, P.A., will guide you through what you need to know/do about annual filings, boards of directors, fundraising, and insurance.

Human Resources: Mary Gale, vice president human resources at Northwestern Health Sciences University, will guide you through the most essential HR topics, including employment mandates and management policies.

One attendee last year reported:
This was the single most information packed seminar I have attended in 10 years in a very compact time span. It was definitely worth driving from the cities to Rochester.

As an MCN member, when you register for this event you will receive a $30 voucher to apply to other regional events, including the 2019 Minnesota Foundations event!

This workshop is brought to you by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and the Rochester Area Foundation. Special thanks to the Mayo Clinic Community Giving Program for its support of this event!
