Social media is a crucial part of any communications and marketing strategy, and it’s not going away anytime soon. Studies are even showing that nearly two-thirds of Americans get their news from social media! For nonprofits, it’s a valuable way to learn insights into who your supporters are; you can build and strengthen your relationships and you can promote your cause to a much wider audience. But what if you aren’t sure where to fit in social media among all of your other priorities?  What if you aren’t sure how to ramp up your reach?  What if you simply don’t know where to start?

Join this session to learn all about social media and how to utilize it in your organization, even if you have few staff, little-to-no budget, or just aren’t sure how to get going.

In this workshop, we’ll discuss a number of topics, including:

  • Developing a social media plan
  • Time management while wearing multiple hats
  • Increasing engagement among fans and followers
  • Cost-effective strategies
  • What happens when social media goes wrong
  • Tools to make it easier

Attendees will walk away with increased confidence working with social media, as well as tools they can use to make working with social media easier and more impactful.
