If you are currently working at a nonprofit in the Northwest region, you are invited to join this free, informal discussion and information sharing group.

Each month a topic is identified around which the majority of the discussion will revolve. Participants are encouraged to bring questions, examples and insights related to the topic of the session. In addition to the featured topic discussion, each session will include time to network and ask questions. This network is free and no RSVP is necessary. You are invited to bring your lunch, business cards and ideas. If you have any questions about the Northwest Region Networking Lunches, please contact Ashley Charwood, Northwest Minnesota regional coordinator, at acharwood@minnesotanonprofits.org or 218-407-5202.

Northwest Region Networking Lunch topics will be announced in MCN’s monthly e-newsletter, Northwest MN Regional Update.

June Topic: Policy, Education, Advocacy and Lobbying Information
Policy makers need public input to develop good ideas into good policy, and nonprofits are valued experts in our areas of specialty. Learn about the ways 501(c)(3) nonprofits can advocate, the laws around lobbying, and tips for how nonprofits can partner with our government partners. Join MCN’s Taylor Putz in this webinar workshop, followed up with discussion with a local perspective about strategies and approaches to policy advocacy. There will be an opportunity for Q and A during the session.
