Helping Children Succeed to Build A Stronger Minnesota
Our Children.  Our Future.

You are invited to join this year’s 2018 Children & Youth Issues Briefing, hosted by the Start Early Funders Coalition in partnership with Greater Twin Cities United Way, The Sheltering Arms Foundation, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and Minnesota Council on Foundations.
Attended by nearly 1,000 advocates each year, the event addresses the importance of early childhood development and youth education, highlighting pathways to close the opportunity gap and foster a strong, equitable future for Minnesota.

With a critical election for Minnesota’s next governor quickly approaching, this year’s event will feature a gubernatorial candidate discussion to address the importance of young children and youth to the future of our state, and their vision to improve successful outcomes.

Program highlights:

  • Gubernatorial candidate discussion, moderated by Lori Sturdevant, Star Tribune
  • Governor Mark Dayton (invited)
  • Education equity and policy
  • Early childhood – meeting the needs of children, families and workforce
  • Rural challenges and innovation

Join us for this uniquely interactive and informative session to engage in critical discussions around equity and policies focused on improving outcomes for our state’s young children and youth.
