Meet St. Paul’s new Mayor Melvin Carter at MCN’s first-ever Mocha with Our Mayors.

Melvin CarterThe nonprofit sector is an important partner with local government in building strong and thriving communities. Mayor Carter wants to hear from nonprofits and share his priorities for the future of St. Paul. Use this opportunity to build a relationship with the Mayor and learn how you can collaborate with his office.

Before being elected as Mayor, Melvin Carter served as executive director of the Minnesota Children’s Cabinet, advising Governor Dayton on early childhood policy. Prior to joining state government, Carter represented Ward 1 on the St. Paul City Council from 2008 to 2013. Carter grew up in the Rondo neighborhood and attended St. Paul Public Schools.

Refreshments: Coffee and tea will be provided.

Location: This event will take place at Habitat for Humanity's main office.

Parking: Along with parking behind the building, there is also free two-hour parking available alongside the building on Prior Avenue and University Avenue.
