Join an engaging conversation around the future of work. The state of Minnesota is feeling the pressure of changing workforce trends, from the growth of new industries to the increasing role of technology and automation to the shift to more freelance and contract work. The Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area is expected to be short more than 100,000 workers by 2020.

Historically, work has evolved from farmers to factory workers to knowledge workers, with the future of work predicted to be mostly creators and empathizers. What is the competitive difference that can be accomplished by enhancing our economy and enabling a more enriching, creative and diverse workforce?

  • How can we use creativity to tap into the potential of our local and regional workforce?
  • How can we make sure that creative professionals and entrepreneurs are included as we look to our community's future?
  • What does collaboration look like for those businesses and organization looking to grow healthy, vibrant economies and communities?

Join community members for a collaborative discussion, using the World Cafe format, in service of the future of work and how creativity and workforce development can help sustain and grow Minnesota's economy.

Breakfast and beverages will be provided at this event.

This event is sponsored by Connect the Grey and hosted by Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
