Budgets are the foundation of nonprofit finance and are vital to your organization’s strategic planning and management. This workshop will prepare you to craft a budget for your program or organization using a clear 10-step process. We will walk through a realistic budgeting scenario and discuss the basics of managing cash flow, giving you practical tools to develop and monitor effective budgets.

Take this workshop in conjunction with Fundamentals of Nonprofit Finance for a comprehensive overview of nonprofit financial management.

About the Presenter

Michael AndersonMichael Anderson, Nonprofit Assistance Fund training program manager & loan officer, is responsible for advising nonprofits through the loan application and review process, as well as throughout the lifecycle of the loan. Michael also coordinates the development and delivery training program and curriculum. He holds a master of public policy degree from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. He serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota and on the board of directors of PRG, Inc., a nonprofit community development corporation.
