Creating a thoughtful business plan can provide a sense of direction to an organization, especially if the organization is new or in the process of filing for nonprofit status. During this session, attendees will discuss various components of a strong business plan: What are the organization’s goals? What programs will it operate? Will it conduct events? Will the organization have staff and volunteers? Through this session, attendees will create a working budget based on these questions and will analyze possible funding streams and expense categories. Creating a realistic business plan is one of the most important steps toward building a stable future for your nonprofit organization. This session may be taken separately or as a continuation of the morning workshop Starting a Successful Nonprofit.

If you plan on taking this class in conjunction with Starting a Successful Nonprofit, or have taken it in the last 12 months, the registration fee is only $25. If you would like to register at this rate, please use the PDF registration form.

This workshop will be offered on April 26 and November 8. Please view our Management Trainings page to register for a different date.
