Grantwriting is a useful skill that is required in many nonprofit positions. Many people who work in nonprofits find themselves in the position of “accidental grantwriter” and do not feel fully equipped for the challenge. This session is geared towards individuals that are brand new to grantwriting and have less than one year of experience.
In this workshop participants will have an opportunity to learn about the:
- Basics of grantseeking and the types of foundations
- Develop an understanding of the sections of a grant proposal
- Have an opportunity to review actual grant proposals
Clinic participants will receive a copy of the Handbook for Successful Grant Writing* that covers topics ranging from research and planning to a glossary of commonly used terms.
Please note that this workshop is open to MCN Members only. Learn more about MCN membership and join now!
* The Handbook is only available to participants and is not otherwise for sale.
This session is geared towards people who are newer to the grantwriting field. If you are looking for a more advanced class, please consider MCN's Advanced Grantwriting class.
This workshop will be offered on March 27, May 31, July 17, September 27 and November 29. Please view our Fundraising Trainings page to register for a different date.
