MCN is pleased to announce a new offering this year: a webinar series on Diversity and Inclusion. Whether you’re looking to diversify your board, refine your outreach strategies, or expand your volunteer base, presenter Dr. Mai Moua will share concrete strategies for engaging New Americans in the work of your nonprofit.
If you live in the Central Minnesota region, you are invited to join facilitator Christa Otteson for this extended learning discussion. The program will consist of a one hour webinar, viewed as a group at the ADC office, followed by a facilitated discussion about diversity and inclusion at the organizational, community and regional levels. The extended learning discussions will be focused on fostering collaboration, understanding, and systemic change on this issue.
This six-part series includes the following webinars:
- The Landscape of Culture and Diversity in Minnesota: Engaging Diverse Stakeholders in the Nonprofit Sector, Tuesday, January 10
- Cultural Intelligence Matters: Tools to Build Cultural Competence and Agility, Tuesday, February 14
- What’s Emotions Got to Do with Culture: Strengthening Cross Cultural Interactions Using Emotional Intelligence, Tuesday, March 13
- Cross Cultural Management and Leadership: Practical Tools and Techniques to Managing and Leading a Diverse Workforce, Tuesday, April 10
