Tired of the same old ideas? You know you need to do something different, but you’re not sure what that is or how to get started. Or, you’ve got a really cool new idea … now you have to convince others to support it. This session will help you begin to think outside the box, create a framework for innovation and manage the challenges of moving in a new direction. You’ll leave with tips and concrete ideas you can implement right away.
This workshop is part of the 2011 Nonprofit Communicator Workshop Series, Zoom In Zoom Out: Focus Your Communications.

About the Series
Picture-perfect nonprofit communications takes more than touch-up here and there. Through the lens of the nonprofit communicator, the view is complex and can be, at times, hard to focus. Nonprofit communicators need to be able to see the small details, the bigger picture, and everything in-between in order to better target messages that result in effective communications.
Zoom In, Zoom Out: Focus Your Communications, the 2011 Nonprofit Communicators Workshop Series, is designed with the big picture in mind. This series of four workshops, presented by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and the Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, will present you with ways to improve your perspective on crafting creative communications for your organization.
The 4-part series includes the following workshops:
- What Comes After Click, Like, Follow?, October 25, 2011
- Un-Risky Business: Protecting Your Organization in the Online World, November 8, 2011
- Making Mobile Meaningful and Manageable, November 29, 2011
- Creativity Lab: The Art and Science of Innovation, December 13, 2011
You can register for this single session in the series by clicking on the above Register Now button, or you register for the entire series of four workshops and save up to $30! The series is $150 for all four workshops for MCN and IABC members/$240 for all four workshops for nonmembers.
