Morning Keynote: Tech Industry Ideas Can Lead to Better Nonprofit Services

Join hundreds of nonprofit professionals as we join together to better understand the tools and tactics that can make digital development practical for your nonprofit. By keeping the user in mind, developing for sustainability and considering the ecosystem within which you operate - technology can become a critical advantage for achieving your mission. But what does that mean in a small nonprofit or a nonprofit that doesn't currently use custom tech applications? By the end of this session, attendees will walk away with at least one feasible tool or tactic that you can implement in your nonprofit. Keynote speaker Suraj Vadgama will push us to view technology in a new light.

Dozens of Breakout Sessions

Photo of ParticipantsThere will be something for everyone at this conference, with more than 30 breakout sessions for both beginner and advanced audiences. See the full schedule of breakout sessions. We think you'll agree that these are some dynamic speakers, important topics and interesting discussions. Each time slot has a cache of great speakers. So choose wisely!

Formal and Informal Learning Opportunities

Every year we hear that some attendees want more in-depth expert-led learning while some attendees want more time for peer-based networking. The beauty of a daylong conference is that you can choose how to use your time. The conference exhibit hall is open 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. So, take time in the hall to talk with allies in the for-profit sector; or gather at a coffee table to talk with nonprofit colleagues; or arrive in your breakout session early to start learning as much as you can. Plus, remember that the download center has handouts for sessions you may have missed!

Complimentary Headshots

This year, we will be offering professional headshots, courtesy of Scott Streble Photography, at no cost to conference attendees. Spruce up your LinkedIn image, website bio, or blog byline. No longer will you need to use your poorly lit iPhone selfie as your digital first impression!

Networking Galore

Participants TalkingGet to know hundreds of nonprofit leaders and staff from across the state; meet with old colleagues and new friends. Find out what's new in allied organizations, what's challenging this year, who's finding success with new strategies, and how you can collaborate in the future. Some good starter questions include, "What did you learn in the last session?" or "What stuck out from what you just heard?"

Luncheon Plenary: Dot.Org Awards

Be inspired by innovations from around the sector. The winners of the Dot.Org Awards will display their innovations and will be available for questions during the Exhibit Hall. This year's awards are sponsored by our friends at Brave North Technology.
